Welcome

... to Frankenstein's Creator the Fanlistings Network approved fanlisting for the legendary author Mary Shelley.

Mary is best known for her novel Frankenstein, written at the age of 18 many people were baffled how a woman so young could create a piece of work that scientific and religious scholars alike were fasinated by. It continues with us to modern day, where science is coming up with more ways to save peoples lives or 'awaking them from the dead'. Frankenstein keeps the argument with 'How far should we go before it's too far?'.

Mary is sometimes believed to be a 'one-book-wonder', people believing that Frankenstein was her only novel, although she has a impressive lists of works that also deal with controversial ideas. Mathilda is about the incestuous love a father has for his daughter, largely believed to be a exaggeration about the relationship between Mary and her own father, the radicalist William Godwin, it also includes a male character based on Mary's husband Percy Bysshe Shelley. The Last Man is set in the 21st century with a man who has lived to see the end of humanity which has died from a plague.

With her reputation as a novelist, her life has become almost more legendary than her works. The only daughter of radicalist William Godwin and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft (whom died after giving birth to Mary), she recieved a thorough education from her father before eloping with married poetPercy Bysshe Shelley, a friend of her fathers. Mary dealt with alot in her life including many miscarriages and deaths of her children aswell as Percy's affairs. Though in her life she had many friends in society, Percy Shelley, John Keats and the infamous Lord Byron made up the Romantic Poets in that time.
